Experimental film | Egypt 2025 | 7'40 English – English subtitles

The film embraces a feminist perspective that challenges fixed definitions of femininity and opens space for multiplicity, ambiguity and transformation. Shot in black and white, this experimental dance film unfolds as a cinematic ritual, tracing the relationship between the female body and the untamed forces of nature. Against the vast horizon of the Egyptian desert, movement oscillates between stillness and eruption, surrender and resistance. The body becomes a site where personal and collective histories surface, where silence meets resilience and fragility coexists with power. Inspired by the poetic language of Adrienne Rich’s Diving into the Wreck, the film explores what it means to inhabit a female body shaped by histories of silence, survival and conquests.
