Series of poetry films | Finland 2025 |  English – English subtitles

This video work operates as a sustained exchange between my cinematic practice and the poetry of Taiye Ojo. Conceived and developed during the Saari Residence, the collaboration takes form as a series of poetry films in which voice, image, and temporality are held in active negotiation.

The project creates a shared field of resonance: spoken word modulates rhythm, framing, and duration, while the moving image refracts the poem, generating slippages, echoes, and new semantic openings. Filmed within the Finnish landscape, the work engages memory and presence through subtle frictions between language and place allowing meaning to emerge through attention, pause, and shared sensorial experience.
